The 175,000 sq ft campus at Manchester’s Enterprise City will act as the headquarters for Booking.com’s Global Trips division.
A big shout to our project team who worked so hard for bringing the vision to this incredible space.
What to Achieve the Look yourself?
This office redesign pulls off an impressive feat, embracing the harsher modern framework of industrial interior design whilst remaining warm and nurturing – all through an inspired use of furnishings, lighting, and colour.
Get this look in your workplace with these four steps:
Take the Edge Off
This installation features some gorgeous pops of colour, with oranges pulled from the sunset murals in the meeting rooms – in the chairs and even dappled within the carpet. This choice of colour brings a lot of warmth into the space, as well as items that are visually invigorating, moving away from the flatness of white minimalism.
Lighting softens the hard edges of the concrete and metalwork. Opt for ample and warm overhead lighting to fully illuminate the workspace.

Replicate these burnt orange touches by incorporating Florence chairs into your space. Whether you need a High Stool, Spindle Leg Chair, or Visitor Chair, each comes with a sleek white frame and a subtle pop of vibrant colour in the seat fabric.

Contrast with Textural Softness
Along with visually softening a space with colour and lighting, physically adding softness through texture is crucial. Moving from meeting rooms and into more recreational spaces, blend structure with comfort through plush seating, all framed in sleek black metal.

For optimal comfort, the Hoxton Armchair and Carmen Chair are solid choices. You could also include the Flix Armchair, with its soft shape and metallic frame.
For some added industrial chic, choose leather features in your furniture – for example, the Duke Side Chair and Malibu Stool, with their warm tan leather upholstery and bold, black frames.

Utilise Natural Materials
These expansive canteen spaces perfectly capture the framed structure of this industrial office space, uplifted by the choice of wooden furniture in a variety of designs.

Encompass this look in your workspace with the bright oak bar stools and side chairs from the Relish collection, a mix of both rectangular and circular tables for a touch of the unexpected, and the smart Carlo Armchairs with wide-set wooden bases.

Add a Touch of Nature

Finally, these open-plan meeting spaces soften their modern edges with biophilic elements in the form of both potted plants and living wall panels. Plants are an essential part of any workplace, freshening both the air and visual appeal of a space.
As for furniture choices to pair with your greenery, use subtle colours and simple shapes that allow for the plants to really pop. The slender bar stool and minimalist stacking chair from the Rae collection would be perfect for this – paired with an Area Drum Stool for a more dynamic use of levels.
