A recently completed extension project at Phoenix Cinema and Art Centre which included a larger café bar and roof terrace with a key focus on accessibility and inclusivity.
To furnish this new space, the charity decided to work with us in collaboration with a main contractor, responsible for the construction aspects of the project.
According to Ros Hill of Phoenix, she was extremely satisfied with the service and outcome of the project. The feedback from the general public has also been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the new furnishings supplied by Wagstaff.
The end result is a beautiful and inclusive space that has been well-received by the community.

You’ve been at Wagstaff for over 20 years, can you tell us a bit about yourself and background?
I’m a married mum of 2 kids, both grown up now and doing their own thing. I have always worked within a customer service role and came to Wagstaff 22 years ago on a part time basis when the children were babies. I increased my hours over the years and worked my way up to Head of Customer Service.
When did you first take an interest in customer service and why?
To be honest, I just fell into the role. I wanted to be a childminder when I left school! I have always been a people person, I’m quite chatty (lots of people will vouch for this) but I actually do enjoy solving issues, this is my favourite part of the job.
Why Wagstaff for you?
Being a working mum with 2 children, it’s hard to juggle work & home life at times but I found Wagstaff have always been understanding and flexible with my working hours and this helps massively when raising children.
In your 20 plus years at Wagstaff, what are

When did you first take an interest in business development within design and why?
I fell into the industry back in 1994 working for a furniture dealer based in Mayfair called Hill + Noyes. Before I began my stellar career in the industry I’d tried my hand at all sorts, including domestic nursing, trainee hairdresser (I feel sorry for all of those old ladies who’s dresses I’d managed to soak whilst washing off their blue rinses), I was even a licensee of a bar for a bit. The role at Hill + Noyes was in admin covering for the office manager who was on maternity leave and once she returned my manager asked me to stay on as trainee sales rep. He gave me W1 and SW1 as my ‘patch’ and I was instructed to walk my area knocking on doors and collecting comp slips with the names of facilities manager to follow up. These were the days before email and the internet (just) so the process was knock on the door to get the contact name if they wouldn’t see you there and then – then back to the office
